[Product Announcement] How I came to teach a course on relationships

Published 8 months ago • 3 min read

Since I started coaching people on the internet, I've looked at hundreds and thousands of posts online - posts complaining about the world, posts venting about their problems, and posts that were filled with hopelessness. I started writing comments to those posts to give them the value of coaching, and if you followed me from my Reddit days before this email list I may have met and coached some of you from doing that.

I wanted to solve problems in areas I was interested in, so I started looking for procrastination first. Then anxiety and nervousness, then being independent from your parents. Something I never really took the time to help people in was loneliness and relationships; but the majority of self-help forums are about loneliness and relationships. I had to actually dig around these forums to find topics that aren't about loneliness.

Why I wasn't interested in solving this was because I treated it as a temporary issue. There are always people in anyone's life, and life is long; even if your people situation is pretty sedentary right now life can always lead you to an unexpected direction. But after learning intimately about my clients' lives across different age groups, gender, and professions, I learned that there's more to the relationship problem than just being with someone vs. alone.

No educational institution teaches you the soft skills of how to meet people. You're just expected to mingle with someone when you're thrown into a room with a bunch of people together. But if you're like me, you know how miserable it feels to be in a party full of people having fun and you're just in the corner with your drink, alone. Not only do you not know what to do, you also feel like you're socially inept and lacking for NOT knowing what to do.

This lack of education around soft skills extends into after you have a relationship. How many times have you fought with your partner or ex-partner about issues that are close to you, but not to them? How many times have you been disappointed by others and how many times have other people disappointed you? Did you know how to handle all of those situations? When your lovers got to know you intimately and used that intimate knowledge of you to turn against you... That can be a shattering experience for the heart.

I want to help change that.

Introducing The Romance Formula

What I'm teaching in this course is simple. There's a formula to follow for romance, and relationships in general. This course isn't specifically about romance, it's about inviting more RELATIONSHIPS into your life. The formula is quantity x quality. Well... Did I just teach everything now?

You know that you have to go out and meet people, but how do you do that? Why should you do that? You know it's best to be yourself, but how do you do that? Why should you do that?

These are the questions I'm primarily answering in my course. This course is for you, even if you aren't a young adult because I teach you how to be responsible for your own happiness, and that applies to all age groups. This course is for you, even if you aren't lonely because the same concepts can be applied in your career or hobbies. This course is for you, even if you don't have a lot of money because it's only $19.99 for lifetime access.

The course goes live on September 9th, 2023. I'm taking pre-registrations for the course right now. I'm excited to share this with you because this is my first time doing proactive mental health care work. This work will prevent years of potential damage in your heart and I'm excited for you to carry it with you.

So what are you waiting for?

Being a kid again

My wife's friend recently had a baby. They had one daughter and a new daughter was just born. According to my wife's friend, the newborn baby was "calmer" compared to her older sister. She could tell this by the way she sucked on her bottle. The older baby, when she was just born, would just suck the bottle nonstop like a machine! Apparently this new baby took slow, collected sips and would take breaks. Who knew babies personalities could be discerned with these seemingly little traits! Yum...
