Thank you all for your warm messages of healing for my wife. She's sleeping a lot as a person who just had surgery should, and her pace of doing things is a lot faster than just a few days ago. She came home like Ron Swanson with a hernia:
But now she can stand up from sitting down at a rate faster than 1cm/sec and is generally able to walk.
I had the old school appendectomy where they make a big cut down your right lower abdomen and just take the appendix out. She had the laparoscopic version where they poke 3 smaller holes and triangulate the cut.
I think it's a reasonable guess that 3 smaller holes would be better for recovery, right? I mean she doesn't even have sutures. Man when I had to pull out my sutures a few weeks after surgery it felt like my entire digestive tract was being pulled out of that site. It was gnarly as hell.
Unfortunately according to my wife she feels a lot of pain in the general abdomen area because I'm assuming the prongs they put in inside of her punctured it pretty deeply to arrive at the appendix. Guh! So she's taking painkillers and spending most of her day at the sofa, lounging with the dogs (but making sure they don't jump on her lap and explode her belly).

I picked up this thing called vibe coding (I'll talk about that in the future) and I was able to create a website that was 100% to my liking. The old website was hosted on Google Sites and came with very limited options when it comes to organizing content, adding new features, and working with external technology. But this has all the bells and whistles without breaking the bank, isn't that nice!
