What's the point of these emails?

Hello friend,

The title of this email sounds a bit confrontational but I actually mean it in the most friendly way possible.
Sometimes we sign up for things, and we get updates about them, but over time we lose touch with the original intention.
In light of some news I have for you (to be explained in just a few paragraphs), I wanted to refresh that original intention.

Since I don't randomly add people onto these emails, this email relationship we have starts with something you did.
Perhaps you know me IRL and I invited you to subscribe in person.
Perhaps you downloaded a resource I distributed over email.
Perhaps you did one of the online exercises available at my website.
From any of these actions, our conversations started.

That is your end of the deal. Now, why do I collect your emails so I send these?
What I want for you in the end is Buddhist happiness.
A complete freedom from suffering, and a lifetime certainty of knowing how to live your day.

I wish you woke up with a particular excitement that drives you out of your bed, no matter how tired you are.
I wish even if your family continues to act the way they do, you have an exuding sense of grace that serves as a calming presence.
I wish you find yourself smiling over how a cup of coffee feels so comforting, even if your to do list is packed to the brim.

I wish I could send this to you over some magical technology so it installs and applies itself instantly.
Unfortunately such a technology doesn't exist yet, so I do the next best thing I can do: life coaching.

While I invite you to life coaching fairly frequently with these emails, not every one of you is interested at that particular time.
Perhaps you find these emails not helpful to you at all, but more of a nuisance; in which case you'd unsubscribe.
But if you're continuing to receive these emails, there's 2 possibilities:
you forget you get these so it became radio noise,
or you get and appreciate these but you're not ready to take me up on my offer at this time.

Even if we're not working together in a formal 1:1 program, I still want you to find happiness.
So I create smaller things that require less commitment than six months and an invoice.
When the time is right, you pick them up; when it isn't, you continue on with your life.

And it's been that way for the past few years, and over this time I've made a LOT of smaller things.
To the point where it's yet another overwhelming catalog of things to try one day.
I haven't had a need to create a beginner's guide to July Life Coach until now, but it's time.

So I'm happy to announce to you today: The July Life Coach Starter Pack. Perfect for you, who is :

  • Considering a coaching program or a self-development course (as in, looking up coaches and getting pricing)
  • Wanting to learn more about Buddhism or Buddhist practices (what does this mantra mean? what is meditation?)
  • Exploring something that complements the therapy work you've been doing (outside of journaling, what else can I try?)

These 4 beginner-friendly experiences will get you to re-connect with the you that you were, when you onboarded these emails.
You know, when you have a childhood comfort food as an adult and you instantly zoom back into the kid who really needed that dish?

Who were you when you wrote your email in a textbox on julylifecoach.com?

P.S. You most likely have a Here account already. Sign in using the button on the upper right corner to access the starter pack.
