In my book Action Formula I break down action and procrastination into some variables that you can plug in to a formula. It’s been some time since I talked about that concept, but in light of my upcoming workshop on May 30th, 2025, 3PM at Valley Hot Yoga I thought it would be a good idea to talk about types of procrastination.
Procrastination is an umbrella term for inaction but when we look into our individual inactions we find that they are very varied. Some things we don’t do because they’re too hard. Some things we don’t do because we don’t have the time. Some things we don’t do because we’re overwhelmed.
It helps to know what type of inaction we’re participating in, because it gives us a bit of an insight into specifically why we’re blocked from action. And as you consider the different types of inaction you get to reflect on other reasons we frequently block ourselves.
So what types are there, and how can you know for yourself? Well, I have just the tool to help you find out. Check out my latest quiz that tells you exactly what type of a procrastinator you are by having you answer a few questions.

In the upcoming writings we’ll talk more about what each type of procrastinator can do to improve on action. But let me let you in on a cool secret: you don’t need to work with every single individual reason why you can’t get yourself to do things. You just need to understand the deeper mechanics behind action and inaction.
In the upcoming workshop I’ll teach you all about the mechanism of action in the human mind. I’ll also give you two practical applications, one long term and one short term, to get your life into action.
It’s on May 30th, 2025 at 3PM. The location is Valley Hot Yoga(21015 Oxnard St, Woodland Hills, CA 91367). Very excited to see you in person to talk about life and action!
